Working with approvals in Jira Service Management

Notification Assistant for Jira Cloud allows you to insert Jira Service Management approvals into notifications.

 

To set up Approvals via email, go to your Notification and scroll down to the Approvals section. Once you enable it, then you can select which of the three approval modes we will enforce.

 

If you use our default templates you can see how a user can approve an issue directly from their email in the Table or Single Issue template:

How to Add Approval to Custom Templates

Start by editing the custom template by clicking "Edit." Once the text editor opens, click "Blocks" at the top right, and then drag and drop an issue field block to the desired location in the template. Click on the newly added issue field block to open "Component Settings", select "Approval Buttons," and finally, save the template.
