Send Email From Issue
In the configuration for Notification Assistant for Jira, the Jira Administrator can choose which projects are able to use the “Send e-mail from issue” button.
By default, all projects are Enabled
You can add (“>” button) or remove (“<“ button) enabled projects one at a time or several at a time by ctrl-clicking to select those you want to add or remove.
You can add (“>>” button) or remove (“<<“ button) all projects at once.
Please note: This does not remove the “Send e-mail from issue” button from the issue view. Users who click on this button will get the following error message:
“NAFJC Send Email From Issue is not enabled in this project. Contact your Jira administrator for more information”
The Jira administrator can also configure the default email template (as covered by Templates ) to be used by the “Send e-mail from issue” function
Clicking the “Send e-mail from issue” button will open a panel in the details section of your issue. The “three dots” menu in the upper right of the “Send e-mail from issue” panel will allow it to be hidden. It can be resurfaced by again clicking the “Send e-mail from issue” button.
Clicking “Configure recipients” for this ad-hoc issue emailing will open the same recipient destination choices as seen elsewhere in Notification Assistant for Jira
