Exporting to Microsoft Project

Structure and Structure.Gantt must be installed before Import Export for Jira is installed.

If Jira is restarted, we recommend disabling and re-enabling Import Export for Jira to ensure it detects Structure in your system. We’re working to remove this requirement.

  1. Log into Jira as an Administrator

  2. Go to System → Import and Export → Export MSPDI or <BASE URL>/secure/ExportMspdi!default.jspa

  3. Pick the Structure you want to export and configure the appropriate mappings:

     

  4. When importing the resulting file, make sure to use the Import from XML function in Microsoft Project. See the documentation at Saving and Opening Projects in XML Format
