How To Install

Before you begin:

Please, remember to log in to your Jira instance with Administration access so you can manage Notification Assistant and create email templates.

Installing Notification Assistant

To install Notification Assistant, take the following steps:

Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.
Click the Settings drop-down and choose Apps.
On the Discover apps and integrations for Jira page, find Notification Assistant;
Click Try it free to start a new trial of Notification Assistant;

Finding Notification Assistant

After you install Notification Assistant, go to project settings where you need to set up notifications and find Notification Assistant.

Disabling Notification Assistant

Log in as a user with the Jira System Administrators global permission.
Choose the settings icon at the top right of the screen and select Apps. 
Go to Manage Apps and expand Notification Assistant in the User-installed Apps.
Click the Stop Trial button.

Uninstall Notification Assistant

Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.
Choose the Administration cog icon at the top right of the screen and select Manage apps. 
Expand Notification Assistant in the User-installed apps.
Click the Uninstall button.

If you are upgrading your version of Jira, your current version of Notification Assistant may not be compatible with the new Jira version. The steps to take in this case are the following:

Upgrade your Jira version
Upgrade to a new compatible version of Notification Assistant for Jira.
