Troubleshoot Attachments

We allow using Confluence attachments as a source for our macros; however, in some specific scenarios you may encounter odd behavior.

When a new attachment is created, Confluence needs to index that attachment on the backend. While the attachment is being indexed, this attachment is not yet available for apps (such as ours) to find them via the search API.

During this phase, there might be a delay (seconds to minutes) before the attachment becomes visible as an option in the editor.

Once the attachment is indexed and the page is saved, the attachment will be available to use:
